The Noosa National Park, beginning at the northern end of Sunshine Beach, is a must for your stay in Noosa. It features breathtaking coastal views, rainforest and an assortment of wild life, including sleepy koalas, hungry goannas, bush turkeys and a large population of bird life. In the ocean you can have the pleasure of watching the dolphins on their daily northward swim. (The best time to see the dolphins is in the morning around 9-10am, dolphins permitting) and possibly on their return in the afternoon, (light permitting).
There are a number of different tracks through the national park, with the most spectacular being the coastal track, walking via 4 beaches within the park and another 2 beaches on either end. You can also take one of the many tracks into the heart of the park, most of which are well sign posted.
